In Galatians 5:22-23 (WEB), it's written: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit, and it's something we should all strive for in every area of our lives, including spending and eating habits.
Let's also remember the importance of being content and trusting God for our needs. In Philippians 4:19 (WEB), it's written: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." And in Hebrews 13:5 (WEB), it says: "Be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'"
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus' name, asking for Your help. You know the struggle with overspending and overeating, and we ask for Your strength and self-control to be manifested. Help to trust in You for every need, and to be content with what You have provided. Guide into all wisdom and discipline, and help to honor You in every area of life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
