Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your forgiveness for a sin committed nine or ten years ago. Lord, we acknowledge our wrongdoing and ask for Your mercy and grace to cleanse us from this past transgression. Your Word says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
