In times of uncertainty and fear, we are called to trust in the Lord with all our heart, and not lean on our own understanding. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We are thankful you have asked for prayer in Jesus Christ's name, as the Bible tells us 'Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.' (Philippians 2:9-11 WEB).
Together let us pray.
Almighty God, we come before you today in Jesus Christ's name, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. Lord, you know the anxiety and fear that they are feeling right now, and we ask that you fill their heart with the peace that surpasses all understanding.
Father, we ask that you guide the doctor's words and actions tomorrow. Cover the conversation with the blood of Jesus and let the doctor speak with compassion and wisdom. Lord, we ask for the best possible results from the tests. We pray that the interocular pressure test would be normal according to the will of God.
God, we ask that you would comfort our brother/sister tonight. Help them to rest in your presence, knowing that you are always with them. Cast out all fear and anxiety, and replace it with your perfect peace.
Father, we thank you that you are holding them tightly in your arms, and that you will never let them go. We trust in your goodness and your plan for their life. Give them strength and courage to face tomorrow with a steadfast spirit, trusting in you.
Lord, we also pray for the doctor and hospital staff. We pray for their salvation if they do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We pray that God would guide them and their hands as they do their work, and that they would show compassionate care to all of their patients.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God's Word and trust in his promises. Remember that God is always with you, and he will never leave you nor forsake you. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB, "Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for it is Yahweh your God who goes with you. He won’t fail you nor forsake you."
Praise God for his unfailing love and faithfulness.
