We understand your deep longing for a closer, stronger relationship with the person you mentioned. However, we must first and foremost align our desires with God's will and His principles. Let us remember what is written in James 4:3, "You ask and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." Our prayers should always be guided by God's will and not merely our own desires.
Firstly, we must address that it is essential to seek God's face in all matters concerning relationships. It is wonderful to hear that you desire a born-again Christian as a partner. The Bible encourages us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), so your desire is indeed aligned with scripture in this aspect.
However, we must also remember that God's timing is perfect. Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in the Lord, He will plant the right desires in your heart and fulfill them in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our sister in Christ. Lord, we ask that You guide her steps and lead her in the path that You have prepared for her. We pray that Your will be done in her life, especially concerning her relationships. Lord, if it is Your will, bring unity and agreement between her and the person she mentioned, but only if it aligns with Your divine purpose. We ask that You protect their relationship and draw them closer to You and each other, but only in a way that honors and glorifies Your name.
Lord, we ask that You reveal Your perfect timing for her life. If it is Your will for them to be together, we pray that You make it abundantly clear and remove all obstacles. But if this is not Your will, we ask that You give her the strength and grace to accept Your divine plan.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we encourage you to continue seeking God's face in all matters. Trust in His timing and His plan for your life. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
