We understand your desire for a stronger and deeper relationship, and we're here to pray with you and offer guidance grounded in the Word of God.
Firstly, we're glad you acknowledged the authority of Jesus Christ in your request. It's only through His name that we can approach God the Father, as it's written: "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB)
However, we must address that the term "relationship" is vague, and God's design for romantic relationships is clear: a lifelong commitment in marriage between a man and a woman. If you're not already married, we encourage you to pursue a godly courtship with the goal of marriage. If you're already married, we pray for a strengthening of your marriage bonds.
Let's pray:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved one who desires a stronger and deeper bond. We pray for clarity and guidance in this relationship. If it is Your will for them to be married, we pray that You would strengthen their bond, draw them closer to each other, and help them flourish as a couple. Help them to love each other as You love us, "even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her." (Ephesians 5:25 WEB) But Lord, if this relationship is not according to Your will, we ask that You give them the strength to part ways and wait for the spouse You have prepared for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
We encourage you to meditate on the following verse: "Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble." (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB)
