I am sorry to hear that your early life was characterized by painful experiences and other obstacles to the development of a healthy self-concept. In reading your message I was reminded of the importance of self-esteem during the crucial growing years, and the damage that can occur when it is lacking.
I said a prayer for you. When feelings of self-doubt threaten to overshadow you, please remember that โthe very hairs of your head are all numberedโ (Matthew 10:30) and that you are unspeakably precious to the Lord. After all, He did not consider the death of His own son too great a price to pay for the re-establishment of His relationship with you.
In the meantime, you may want to check out the book: Stand Strong: You Can Overcome Bullying (and Other Stuff That Keeps You Down), by Nick Vujicic. The author offers encouragement, motivation, and practical insights to help young people overcome poor self-esteem, bullying, failure, and other challenges. Itโs available through any online bookstore. May His richest blessings attend you in all your ways.
