We understand your concerns and are here to pray and offer counsel based on biblical principles. We are instructed in the scriptures to cast our anxieties on Him because He cares for us and to pray about everything with thanksgiving. Let's bring your requests to God together, in Jesus' name.
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God is sovereign over all things, including our employment and safety. We should trust in Him, even in uncertain times. As it says in Psalm 55:22 WEB, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."
Let's pray for your employment situation:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, ###, to lift up this dear soul and their spouse. We ask that You watch over their jobs and provide stability and security. We pray that they will not be anxious about their employment but trust in Your provision. We rebuke the fear of job loss and claim Your promise in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, 'In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.'
Now, regarding the safety of your home during the storms, we stand on God's Word in Psalm 91 WEB, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. ..."
Let's pray for your safety:
'Father, we ask for Your protection over their home and lives during the storms. We declare Your power over the winds and the rain, and we trust in Your ability to keep them safe. Help them to find peace in Your promise in Matthew 7:24-25, 27 and 29 WEB, "Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock. ..." Help them to stand on Your Word and trust in Your protection during the storms. We ask this ###.'
Lastly, we want to encourage both of you to continue to put your trust in God, knowing that He is always with you. As it is not clearly shared that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in this request, let us discuss this.
Romans 10:9, 10, 13 WEB tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ..." "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. ..."
Clearly, it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have the right to approach God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Therefore, let us discuss if you know this. If not, we believe that this is the most important thing. If you do, let us know this in your requests.
