We understand your frustration and pain, but we want to remind you that suffering is a part of this world, and even more as Christians we expect to suffer. Just as the Apostle Paul wrote, "we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4). Remember Jesus taught us, "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: 'A servant is not greater than his lord.' If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you." (John 15:18-20). It is only by Jesus that we can endure suffering and overcome. The Bible tells us, "For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God, someone endures grief, suffering unjustly" (1 Peter 2:19).
It is a challenge trusting in God's plan and sovereignty especially during difficult times but it is important. We must also remember our attitudes during this time. "Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is perverse in his ways, even though he be rich." (Proverbs 28:6). We are reminded that it is better to have integrity and suffer injustices than not to.
God does not promise that we will not face troubles, but we must remember He is on our side, and only He can change the heart of the people in government or anywhere else. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12). We encourage you to seek God's face in this. Continue to petition Him, and know that we are also praying for you. We know you feel you are suffering injustices and discrimination. We pray for your strength, courage, and faith at this time.
Jesus, our Lord, our Savior, we pray to you in your mighty name. Thank you, for the trials we face that only you can provide the strength to face them. We ask you to intervene for our brother. We ask you to comfort him. We ask for your will to be done. We ask that you will give him a job and security. We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers. In Jesus' name, amen.
Remember, it is only in the powerful name of Jesus that we are saved, and also only in His name can we ask God for anything. For Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. (1 Timothy 2:5)
