We rejoice with you as you declare your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the most important decision anyone can make. As you have believed on His name, you are now a child of God. Let us come together in prayer and thank our heavenly Father for this wonderful new birth.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, rejoicing in the confession of faith that has been made. Lord, we thank You for drawing this precious soul to Yourself, and we ask that You would continue to reveal Yourself to them as they walk with You.
We pray this in Jesus' name and remind ourselves of scripture:
John 1:12-13 WEB
But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
As you begin your journey with Christ, we encourage you to spend time in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer, developing a close and personal relationship with Him. Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can fellowship with other believers and grow in your faith. Remember that Jesus said in John 3:3 WEB.
Jesus answered him, Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can't see the Kingdom of God.
As a new believer, it is important to understand that you have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and not by any works of your own. As you learn about God and His ways you should strive to turn away from sin and obey His commands.
Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB
for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.
We encourage you to be baptized in water as a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:38 WEB
Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk with Him.
We are here to support you and pray for you. If you would like to share more about your journey or have specific prayer requests, please feel free to do so.
