The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters

3 he restores my soul;
He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up RMathews and their prayer request. We thank you for the beautiful words of Psalm 23, reminding us that you are our Shepherd and we lack nothing. We praise you for leading us to green pastures and still waters, where our souls find restoration.

Lord, we ask that you continue to guide RMathews in the right paths for your name's sake. Even in the midst of the darkest valleys, we pray that they will not fear any evil, for you are with them. May they find comfort in knowing that your rod and staff are there to protect and guide them.

We thank you for the assurance that you prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. We pray that you anoint RMathews' head with oil, overflowing their cup with your blessings. May they experience your goodness and mercy every day of their life, and may they dwell in your house forever.

Father, we pray that RMathews will continue to trust in you, even when they walk in darkness and have no light. Help them to remember that your ways are higher than our ways, and that you work all things together for their good. Give them the courage to persevere and the faith to believe that you are in control.

We claim the promise of your Word that those who believe in you will never be ashamed. May RMathews find strength and comfort in your presence, singing praises to you even in the midst of trials and challenges.
