Dear Heavenly Father,
We approach Your throne of grace today on behalf of Your child who is battling COPD and feeling overwhelmed by illness and fear. In their plea for help, we are reminded of Your promise in Psalm 50:15, "Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." Despite feeling distant in their faith, they reach out for Your divine intervention, longing for relief and healing.
Lord, we ask for Your comforting presence to envelop them, to ease their fear and bring solace to their heart. As they navigate through this challenging time, may they find assurance in 2 Corinthians 12:9, which says, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Let Your strength and power manifest in their life, especially in moments of weakness and vulnerability.
Grant them improved breathing and a swift recovery from their current sickness. We hold onto the hope found in Jeremiah 17:14, "Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." May this healing not only be physical but also a restoration of faith and trust in Your love and mercy.
We pray for understanding and empathy from their family, that they might offer the support and compassion needed during this time. Encourage and strengthen their spirit, reminding them that they are not alone in their suffering. Psalm 23:4 offers comfort, saying, "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
As they await their upcoming appointment, we ask for patience, peace, and a trusting heart, knowing that You are the Great Physician who understands their condition more than anyone else. Lead them to the right medical professionals who can provide the care and treatment necessary for their recovery.
In their moments of doubt and pain, remind them of Your everlasting love and the hope we have in Jesus Christ. May this trial bring them closer to You, understanding that every prayer is heard, and every cry for help is answered in Your perfect timing.
