LORD, I'M COMING HOME!
"Lord, may you touch, change and soften my spouse's heart. May my husband/wife confess their sins, repent and turn from their sinful ways as they come to their senses. Lord, send them home for Christmas, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen."
Is this not your prayer as we pray for thousands of husbands, wives and prodigal children to come to their senses and come home for Christmas? Will you start or continue to pray fervently for the next 10 days? Why? Because many people will be invited to different church musicals, children's musicals, church pageants and many other special Christmas activities at many different churches in each city around the world proclaiming the Gospel. This is an excellent time to invite someone you have been praying for, such as family members or co-workers who normally do not go to church but will often accept an invitation and go to attend at Christmas time.
Your beloved spouse may be invited by someone to go to a special Christmas musical. I cannot tell you how it will happen, but I know that there are thousands and possibly millions of people who are praying for sinners and loved ones to come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord every day and especially this month as we celebrate our Lord's birthday. So if your church is having a large musical, start praying about who you should ask and start praying now for a mighty harvest of souls to be touched and saved, as backslidden Christians turn their hearts back to the Lord even before Christmas.
"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call." Acts 2:38-39
Dear stander who is reading this devotional, you may be the husband or wife who caused the majority of your marriage problems. You may not have "Come Home" to your Heavenly Father yet. Will you cry out asking for forgiveness of the mess you have made in your life and marriage? May you make today the best day of your life, by asking Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life forever. Do not put it off one more day. Celebrate Christmas as a child of God, knowing the true meaning of why Jesus came to earth which was to save all men from all their sins. You can invite Jesus Christ into your heart and life right now by praying a simple prayer like the one listed below:
"Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness for all my sins and wrongdoings. I thank You for Your love and I believe that Jesus Christ died in my place to pay the price for my sins and that Jesus Christ arose from the dead. I now ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life as my Savior. I thank You for becoming Your child. Lord, help me learn to follow Your will and Your way for the rest of my life. I know that with You in my life You will empower me to say "no" to all the temptations of the world each and everyday. Thank You Lord, for dying on the Cross for my sins. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen."
Yet now I am happy, not because you were madesorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 2 Corinthians 7:9-10
Do you remember the words of the song,“Lord, I'm Coming Home?" Will you pray this Sunday that there will be thousands of marriages being restored and rebuilt on the solid rock of our Lord Jesus Christ? May the Holy Spirit move on all of our churches around the world to touch the men and women of God to teach and preach Jesus' birth was to save His people from sin. Let us continue to pray that this month we will have a revival around the world as men, women and lost loved ones will feel the conviction by the power of the Holy Spirit and cry out, repenting as the prodigal son did who then went home.
“Lord, restore hurting and dead marriages around the world. Show Your mighty power this Lord's Day as we prepare our hearts to celebrate Your birthday on Christmas. Amen."
I pray that the song,“Lord, I'm Coming Home" will be your prodigal's heart cry to the Lord this weekend. Let this song become your favorite song for your prodigal's return to the Lord and to you.
LORD, I'M COMING HOME
I've wandered far away from God,
Now I'm coming home;
The paths of sin too long I've trod,
Lord, I'm coming home.
I've wasted many precious years,
Now I'm coming home;
I now repent with bitter tears,
Lord, I'm coming home.
I'm tired of sin and straying,
Lord, Now I'm coming home;
I’ll trust thy love, believe Thy word,
Lord, I'm coming home.
My soul is sick, my heart is sore,
Now I'm coming home;
My strength renew, my hope restore,
Lord, I'm coming home.
Coming home, coming home,
Nevermore to roam,
Open wide thine arms of love,
Lord, I'm coming home.

And that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:26
Nothing is too hard for your Lord God. Your marriage appears to your family and friends as dead, but what does your Lord say? Get ready to celebrate and be willing to love a spouse back into the Lord's Kingdom. Every week spouses are coming home. They come home in obedience to their Lord God's wooing. Your Lord will change them one day at a time as you continue to pray for the Lord to create in each of you a new heart and be cleansed from all impurities and idols. Your Lord created marriage, so He can rebuild your marriage one brick at a time!
"Heavenly Father, we love You and praise Your holy Name. We pray that this weekend You will bring thousands of prodigals back home to You and to their families. May Your children come to their senses. Lord, speak loudly to each one of Your children as You did on the Damascus Road to Saul so that your disobedient and rebellious children may hear Your voice, turning them home to You and to their spouse. Lord, I pray that around the world this month of December there will be a mighty harvest of people saying, "Lord, I'm coming home now!" We pray this in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen."
