Lord I pray for my son ###

Lord my son ### needs you desperately. He moved to ### to start over but I just found out that he still making the same poor decisions and behaving badly. He was arrested for a DUI and also a second time for domestic violence. Lord my son is in total denial of his alcoholism and his rage problem. He takes no accountability and blames everyone else. He lies about everything. I've been praying for a long time. My heart is broken after learning all this. I really believed him when he said he was doing well out there. Lord God I pray that you intervene in his life on behalf of my prayers. Save my son from the fiery dark that he lives in. I don't want to see a tragedy. He needs to realize he could kill someone or himself driving drunk. He needs to recognize that driving drunk is completely unacceptable. I don't want to see him incarcerated either. These are my biggest fears. Lord please please break the strongholds that are destroying his life. Open his eyes. Help him to see the error of his ways and that he needs to change but most of all that he needs you. Lord protect my son from harm and from any evil that wants to see him fail. I know that you put him on this earth for good and inside he is loving and sweet and he has a good heart. I really think he was damaged by all the abuse he saw me taking from my ex alcoholic husband. Forgive me Lord for staying longer than I should have in that relationship. I see now all the harm it's done to him. I tried to give him a good foundation as a child. I taught him about you and I taught him how to pray. I took him to church to give him a foundation of faith and always talked about the importance of it to him. Somehow he still got lost in the world and all its deceptions and temptations. Please Lord let there be a rebirth of my son's soul and spirit so he could become the man you put him on this earth to be. I pray this request in the name of your precious son Jesus Christ. Amen.

Firstly, we commend you for your steadfast faith and prayers. Remember, God's word tells us, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much" (James 5:16 WEB). Do not grow weary in praying for ###, for God hears your cries.

We must acknowledge that ###'s actions, including drunk driving and domestic violence, are serious sins that not only harm others but also himself. The Bible teaches us to "put off, concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit" (Ephesians 4:22 WEB). We pray that ### will recognize the destructiveness of his behavior and turn away from it.

Let us pray for ###'s repentance and transformation:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### to You. Lord, You know the deep pain and struggle he is experiencing. We pray that You intervene powerfully in his life, breaking the strongholds of alcoholism, rage, and deception. Open his eyes to see the error of his ways and the need for change. Most importantly, Lord, draw him to Yourself, that he may know the saving grace of Jesus Christ.*

*We rebuke the enemy's plans to destroy ### and declare that he is a child of God, created for good works (Ephesians 2:10 WEB). Lord, protect him from harm and any evil that seeks to undermine his life. We believe that Your power is greater than any addiction or sin, and we ask that You set ### free.*

Bless your heart Articles. Thank you for all the advice. I will continue to stand firm in my faith and trust in the Lord. It's easy to lose sight when you start to focus on what's going on wrong rather than staying rooted in God's word and remembering His promises. I will continue to pray, believe and hope. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
