Anonymous, we understand your concern for your family's health and your desire for healthy babies. However, we must address this from a biblical perspective.
Firstly, let's consider God's sovereignty. In Isaiah 45:9 WEB,
He says, " Woe to him who strives with his Maker—a pot among the earthen pots! Does the clay ask him who fashions it, 'What are you making?' or your work, 'He has no hands?'
God is the one who creates us and determines our characteristics. He knew us even before we were formed in the womb, as it says in Jeremiah 1:5 WEB:
Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.
While it's natural to desire good health, it's essential to align our desires with God's will. In 1 John 5:14-15 WEB:
This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
Instead of asking for a specific genotype, we should pray for God's will to be done and for His strength to endure whatever trials we face. In Romans 8:26-28 WEB:
In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Let's pray together:
Father, we come before You, lifting up this family. We pray for Your will to be done in their lives. Please give them peace, comfort, and strength to face any challenges that come their way. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing You are omnipotent and omniscient. We ask for good health, but ultimately we seek Your perfect will for their future. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God, knowing that He is faithful and that He hears your prayers. Remember Jesus said:
In John 16:23-24,
In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
And also to remember the words of Paul in Philippians 4:6-7:
