We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing, but we're glad you've reached out for prayer and support. We stand with you in the name of Jesus, seeking God's intervention and comfort for you and your son.
Firstly, we thank God that you have acknowledged the power in the name of Jesus. It reminds us of Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only through belief in Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved.
Let's pray together for your son. It's important to remember that God can reach anyone, anywhere—even in jail. We pray that this situation will lead your son to seek God's will for his life. As it says in Acts 17:26-27 WEB: "He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings, that they should seek the Lord." We pray that your son will use this time to reflect, repent, and turn to God.
Now, regarding your husband, we want to assure you that God does not approve of abusive behavior. Marriage should be a picture of Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:25-33 WEB), and any form of abuse is not consistent with that picture. We pray for your safety and peace. We encourage you to take steps to ensure your safety, which may include reaching out to local resources designed to help in such situations.
Pray with us:
Dear Lord, we come before you, lifting up our sister in Christ who is in need of your divine intervention. Lord, we pray for her son who is in jail. We ask that you would comfort him, encourage him and draw him closer to you.
Father, we also pray for her husband, that you would change his heart and deliver him from this abusive behavior. We pray for her safety and peace. Give her the wisdom to take the necessary steps to ensure her well-being, and guide her through this challenging time.
We ask for the glory of your name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please continue to trust in God and His plan for your life.
