We join you in lifting up your prayers to the Lord, trusting in His provision and protection over your lives. Let us first remember that it is in the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. We thank You for Your steadfast love and faithfulness. We pray for Your guidance and provision in their employment, that You would sustain their jobs and protect them from any job loss or reduction in pay. We commit their financial and health needs to You, Lord, trusting in Your promise in Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB), "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Lord, we pray for healing and restoration of health, that You would ease the sickness and bring blood pressure to a healthy level. Cast out all anxiety and fill them with Your peace, as Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We pray for wisdom and clarity in managing their finances and preparing for retirement. Guide them in their work, Lord, and help them complete their tasks with excellence and integrity. We also pray for safety during travels and a smooth process in submitting their taxes and paperwork.
Lord, we ask for Your guidance in resolving any issues at work and for a solution to fixing their door. May they find an easy and efficient solution.
We also want to discuss the importance of coupling this prayer with reading and obeying scripture. We would love to see this request coupled with a scripture stating that 'they believed'. We encourage further discussions around what Jesus has done on the cross, his resurrection, and how we are saved by believing on his name. For it is only in Jesus Christ that we can be saved and in his name that we can approach God.
Finally, we pray for their county to receive the necessary form and acknowledge its receipt by the deadline, that their exemption may be maintained.
We trust in Your promise in Psalm 37:23-24 (WEB), "Yahweh’s steps are for the upright. He delights in their way. Though they fall, they won’t be hurled down, for Yahweh holds them with his hand."
We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you both to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is faithful and walks with you always. Stand firm in your faith, and may the peace of God guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Remember the encouragement from the Scripture to remain steadfast in the Lord.
