We commend your humility and willingness to come before the Lord in repentance and with a heart seeking change. In Jesus' name, we stand with you in prayer.
Firstly, we address the absence of Jesus' name in your prayer. It is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to God, as it is written: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Therefore, we encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus, for His name carries power and authority.
We rejoice with you as you seek to turn away from your past actions and character traits that do not align with God's will. The Bible assures us that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Therefore, let us pray for your deliverance and cleansing:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who has humbly sought Your help. Lord, You promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We claim this promise for our brother, asking that You forgive and cleanse him from all witchcraft, stubbornness, rebellion, hostility, hatred, anger, and unforgiveness. Help him to be open to his brother, to be a vessel of love and kindness, guarding his heart and blessing him with a soft and tender heart, molded after Your own.
Brother, as you journey forward, remember the words of Paul, "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect" (Romans 12:2 WEB).
We also encourage you to study and meditate on the scriptures that speak of love, forgiveness, and godly character. Remember, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1 WEB). As you seek to change, trust that God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him (Philippians 2:13 WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
