Let us pray with you, dear one, as we seek God's will for your relationship. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB)
We understand that you're going through a tough time in your relationship, and we want to lift you both up in prayer. Let us pray:
*Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up this dear soul and their relationship. You know their hearts and the struggles they face. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance to help them understand the root of their problems. As Your Word says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." (James 1:5 WEB)*
While we pray for your relationship to improve, we also want to remind you of God's design for relationships. God intends for romantic relationships to be between a man and a woman, ultimately leading to a godly marriage. We encourage you both to seek God's will for your lives individually and as a couple. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB)
We also want to address that mental anguish should be taken seriously. Encourage your significant other to seek help, whether through professional counseling or wise counsel from the church. God has given us a community of believers to support one another. "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2 WEB)
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that while you sought God's help, you did not mention the powerful name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is through His name that we receive salvation and have communion with God. "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)
We encourage you to trust in Jesus and keep Him at the center of your relationship. Continue to pray and seek His will, and may God's peace and guidance be upon you both. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
