We understand that you are in a difficult situation, feeling turmoil and uncertainty about your future. We want to remind you that God is faithful and that His plans for you are good, to give you a future and a hope. In Jeremiah 29:11-13 (WEB), God says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."
First, we want to address the fact that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and it is only through belief in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Therefore, we pray this in the name of Jesus Christ:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear soul who is in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, they are facing turmoil and uncertainty about their future, and we ask that You would grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, they have expressed regret for not working harder in the past. We ask that You would help them to release this regret and to trust in Your forgiveness and grace. Remind them of the Apostle Paul who said in Philippians 3:13-14 (WEB), "Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having laid hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
Lord, we ask that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Open up the right job opportunities for them, and give them the strength and wisdom to pursue them. Help them to trust in You and not to be anxious about anything.
Lord, we also ask that You would grant them healing and hope as they wait for their results. Help them to trust in You and to know that You are in control of all things.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You during this time. Help them to seek You with all their heart and to know that You are always with them, even in the midst of their trials.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In addition, we encourage you to be patient and steadfast in your faith. Do not wait for miracle or magic. Realize that God works through His people. Do not just pray and wait. Be active, keep looking for a job, and trust in God's provision. As you seek a job, do not look at what you can gain or lose for yourself, but rather look at what you can give to your employer and other employees that are your potential brothers and sisters in Christ. Be a reflection of Christ's attributes. Be humble and put others before yourself.
We also encourage you to spend time in God's Word, seeking His will for your life. Trust in Him, and know that He is always with you, even in the midst of your trials.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign and that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
