Let us come together in prayer for A, who is struggling with a bad attitude. We must always remember to pray with thanksgiving, for it is God who works in us to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. We pray through Jesus, for he said I am the way and the truth and the life he said no one comes to the Father except through him (John 14:6). We read in Philippians 2:13For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure. A's attitude can be made new as we pray to our Lord Jesus Christ, desiring that he take negative feelings from A's heart and mind, and be granted the fruit of the Spirit as described in Galations 5:22-23: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.: This is a wonderful promise from God, and we trust that He will fill A with His grace to respond with kindness and patience.
If A does not want to change their attitude, we do not pray for their removal. Instead, we continue to intercede on his behalf, and trust that he will be guided towards a life that reflects a better attitude. We are instructed in Ephesians 4:31-32: Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
We will continue to pray this over A until they receive the message the Lord wants him to receive. Let us come together and pray:
This is why it says, "Awake, sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you." in Ephesians 5:41
Help us lift up A in prayer, as we cry out on his behalf. Soften his heart, Lord, and remove the bad attitude that is hindering his relationships and his walk with you. Grant him your wisdom, Lord, so that he may see situations with a new perspective. Let him understand and experience the resurrection of Jesus Christ and see in the power of the Holy Spirit, the new heart and mind that is the prayer of this request. We ask for this in Jesus name, for we have no other authority in heaven or on the earth except through Him and the Words the He gave to Him.
We know this is a grievous thing to live and be with day after day. We do not have any Scripture stating this but A must ultimately be the one to want to be delivered from a bad disposition, and if and when He is we know it is through Jesus and in the transforming power and of the Holy Spirit.
