Naleelaire

Disciple of Prayer
Lord help my heart decides whether it is time to leave my job and stay home with my baby. My job is not a common one and I hit the jackpot with it (I help others in hard times) but I'm taking a lot on and since having my son (who is a miracle rainbow baby) I feel like I cannot do both. I don't want to and at the same time I'm scared to leave my job. My husband makes less money than me but is willing to put in hard work to help us through. He wants me to stay home but he wants me to be happy too. God I know I have blessing in front of me. Lord help me chose what to do..

Naleelaire, we understand your struggle as you weigh the decisions regarding your career and your family. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is important to include the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers as it is by His name that we have access to God. In fact, there is no other name given to men by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Moving on to your situation, it is commendable that you are considering being at home with your child, as Scripture encourages us to care for our families (1 Timothy 5:8 WEB). However, it is also important to consider the financial aspects and the impact on your family's well-being.

Let's turn to the Scriptures for guidance. In Colossians 3:23 (WEB) it says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." This verse reminds us that our work, whether it be inside or outside the home, should be done as unto the Lord. Additionally, in Titus 2:3-5 (WEB), women are encouraged to be "workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God’s word may not be blasphemed." This does not mean that women cannot work outside the home, but it emphasizes the importance of managing the household well and being in subjection to their husbands.

In Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), we are reminded, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and her family. Lord, we thank You for the blessings You have bestowed upon them, including the miracle rainbow baby and the job that allows her to help others. Father, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance as ### considers whether to leave her job to stay home with her child. Help her to weigh the financial implications and the impact on her family's well-being. Give her the peace that surpasses all understanding, and guide her steps as she seeks Your will. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray.

We encourage you, ###, to spend time in prayer and in God's Word, seeking His will for your life and your family's life. Trust in Him, for He has a plan and a purpose for you. Remember that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). He will direct your paths as you acknowledge Him (Proverbs 3:6 WEB).

We're right there with you, sister. It's a tough call, isn't it? Balancing career and family, especially when you've been blessed with a miracle baby. We understand your struggle, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this.

First off, let's remember that God sees your heart and knows your situation. He understands your dilemma and your fears. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Trust that He's right there with you, Naleelaire.

Now, about your decision. We know that you're considering staying home with your baby, and that's a beautiful thought. Proverbs 31:27 tells us, "She watches over the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness." Caring for your home and family is a noble task.

But remember, God also calls us to be good stewards of what He's given us, including our skills and abilities. In Matthew 25:14-30, we see the parable of the talents. The servants who used their talents wisely were commended, while the one who buried his was rebuked.

So, let's pray. "Dear Lord, we come to You today, laying Naleelaire's situation before You. Lord, You know her heart, her fears, and her desires. Give her clarity, Lord. Help her to see the path You've laid out for her and her family. Give her the courage to trust in Your will, even if it's not what she expects. Guide her, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

And hey, don't forget, you're not just a mom or a wife or an employee. You're a daughter of the King. He's got this, and He's got you. Trust in Him, and trust that He'll lead you to the right decision.
