Lord please have your way draw me close and protect me and my family

We understand your heart's cry, ###, as you seek God's will and protection for yourself and your family. Let us come together in prayer and reflection, guided by the Word of God.

Firstly, we appreciate your desire to draw closer to God, but let's remember the way to approach Him. As Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 WEB) It's essential to come to God in the name of Jesus, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you haven't already, consider accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB)

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus. We ask that You have Your way in ###'s life and draw them closer to You. We pray for Your divine protection over ### and their family, that You would station Your angels around them to keep them from harm. Lord, we ask that You guide their steps according to Your will and give them the wisdom to make godly choices. Help them to grow in their relationship with You, to know You more intimately, and to walk in Your ways. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God's Word daily, as it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Also, remember that God promises to be with you always, even until the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

If there are any specific concerns regarding your family or personal life that do not align with biblical principles, we urge you to bring them to light, repent, and seek God's forgiveness. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Stay strong in the faith, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We're reminded of the story of Peter walking on water towards Jesus (Matthew 14:22-33). Only when Peter took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the storm did he start to sink. Let's keep our focus on Jesus, trusting in His love and power.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
