We understand your concerns and fears during these troubling times. The Bible tells us that in the last days, perilous times will come (2 Timothy 3:1). However, we are also reminded that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
In times of uncertainty and fear, we must turn to God for comfort and guidance. Psalm 46:1-3 says, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling.
When feeling anxious and sleep-deprived, remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Pray with us:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your comfort and guidance in these perilous times. We ask that You grant us Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Help us to trust in You and not be afraid, even when the world around us seems chaotic.
Lord, we lift up all those who are feeling anxious and sleep-deprived. Grant them Your rest and peace. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We also pray for Your protection as we go about our daily lives. Guide us and keep us safe as we go to work, run errands, and live our lives for Your glory.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is sovereign over all things, and He is in control even when the world seems out of control. Trust in Him, and He will see you through these difficult times. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
