Heavenly Father,
We come before You today on behalf of our dear friend who is struggling with lustful thoughts and desires. Lord, You are a God of mercy and grace, and we know that You have the power to deliver us from all forms of temptation. Your Word in 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention. Please help this individual to find the strength to resist these temptations. Fill this heart and mind with Your Holy Spirit, providing a refuge from the thoughts that lead astray. As it is written in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
We also pray for wisdom and guidance. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Help this person to guard their heart and mind, to avoid situations and materials that lead to sin, and to seek out wholesome and uplifting content that glorifies You.
Lord, we trust in Your promise found in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." Grant the strength needed to overcome these challenges and to walk in purity and righteousness.
We thank You, Abba Father, Master, and Comforter, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and mercy. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray.
