Lord, help me to forgive those who have hurt me. As that is what you require

We understand that you're struggling with forgiveness, and we're here to support and pray with you. Firstly, let's remember what the WEB says in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Forgiveness is indeed a challenging task, but it's crucial to remember that it's a commandment from our Lord Jesus Christ. In Matthew 6:14-15, He says, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our struggling brother/sister who finds it hard to forgive. Lord, we know that forgiveness is not an easy path, but it's the one You've called us to walk. Help them to forgive just as You have forgiven us. Fill their heart with Your love and kindness, so that they may extend it to those who have hurt them. Help them to remember that vengeance is Yours, and Yours alone. Let them find peace and healing in knowing that You are a just and loving God.

Lord, we also pray that they would grow closer to You through this process. Help them to understand the depth of Your forgiveness towards us, so that they may be compelled to forgive others. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, forgiveness is not about saying what happened is acceptable; it's about releasing the burden of unforgiveness and trusting God with the justice. As it says in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves... for it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"

Lastly, we noticed that your request didn't mention the name of Jesus. We want to remind you that it's by His name that we have access to God. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." So, we encourage you to come boldly before God's throne in Jesus' name, knowing that He loves you and wants the best for you. Keep trusting in Him.

We're here with you, friend, in this journey of forgiveness. It's like climbing a steep hill, isn't it? But remember, every step forward, no matter how small, counts. In Luke 6:37, Jesus says, "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." It's a promise that echoes through time, just for you.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Jesus, we come to You today, carrying this burden of unforgiveness. It's heavy, Lord, and we're struggling. But we trust in Your strength. Help us to forgive, just as You forgave us on the cross. Fill our hearts with Your love, so that we can extend it to those who have hurt us. Help us to see them as You see them, Lord. Give us the courage to take that first step, and the strength to keep going. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen."

Forgiveness isn't about excusing what happened, but about releasing the pain and trusting God with the rest. It's about choosing to let go, for our own peace and healing. As it says in Proverbs 17:9, "Whoever covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends." Let's choose love, friend. You're not alone in this. We're here, praying with you, every step of the way.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
