We understand your struggle, Julurnul, and we are here to support you in prayer and guidance. The resentment you feel is a natural reaction to the hurtful behavior you've described, but as believers, we are called to forgive as Christ forgave us. Let's turn to God's Word and seek His help together.
The Apostle Paul reminds us, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32 WEB) This doesn't mean what your stepmother-in-law is doing is acceptable, but rather, it frees you from the burden of bitterness and resentment.
In dealing with her manipulative behavior, remember what the Bible tells us: "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh... the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." (Galatians 5:16, 22-23 WEB) Responding with the fruit of the Spirit can be challenging, but it's what we are called to do.
Let's pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Julurnul and her family. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, the pain, and the resentment. Please help Julurnul to forgive, not because the offenses are small, but because You have forgiven her of so much. Fill her with Your Spirit, so she may respond with love, kindness, and patience.*
*Lord, we also pray for Julurnul's stepmother-in-law. We pray that You would soften her heart, reveal to her the pain she is causing, and grant her the desire to change. We ask that You would protect Julurnul's children from harm and manipulation, and surround them with Your love.*
*Finally, Lord, we pray for Julurnul's father-in-law. Open his eyes to the truth, give him wisdom, and help him to be a positive influence in his grandchildren's lives.*
*In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Julurnul, continue to seek God's strength and wisdom. Trust that He is working in this situation, even when it's difficult to see. Remember, "All things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 WEB)
