Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up the prayer request of Aultruld. Lord, we ask that you bring cooler weather according to your will. We acknowledge that you are the creator of all things, and you have control over the seasons and the weather. Just as the judge in the story realized the need to come to you in the name of Christ, we humbly come before you, recognizing that it is through Jesus that we have access to you.
In 1 John 5:14-15, it is written, "And this is the boldness which we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us; and if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him." Lord, we ask that if it is your will, you would bring cooler weather to Aultruld's area. We trust in your wisdom and sovereignty, knowing that you have a perfect plan for every season.
We also pray that you would help us to approach you with fervency and sincerity in our prayers. As R.A. Torrey reminds us, cold prayers are like arrows without heads, they do not reach heaven. Help us to be passionate and earnest in our prayers, seeking your will above all else.
We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness. May your will be done in all things, including the weather. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
