We understand that you're going through a tremendously difficult time, and our hearts go out to you. We want to remind you that your faith in Jesus Christ is the anchor you need. You mentioned everything you believe and understand about Jesus dying for our sins. That is foundational and critical. Yet, remember also you must fully rely on Jesus. As it says in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. He is our source of strength.
Firstly, let's address the feelings of despair and hopelessness. It's important to remember that God is always with us, even in our darkest hours. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God, he is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.
Your feelings of frustration that evil and deception seem to go unpunished are understandable. In Psalm 37:1-2 WEB Do not fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. You must understand that God's timing is not our timing. Justice will come. Similarly, if you have unforgiveness or hurt, you have heard of the difficulties of Job, but remember what the scriptures say in James 5:11 NIV As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
Regarding your chronic pain and depression, remember that God is our ultimate healer. Pray and ask God in the name of Jesus for healing. Often, it is the prayers of a righteous man that avails much. Then in faith thank God for the healing. In Psalm 147:3 WEB He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Also in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. You are never alone in your struggles, and God cares deeply about your pain.
It's crucial to stay connected with other believers. Isolation can lead to further despair. Pray asking God if He would have you reach out to a local church or Christian community. In Hebrews 10:25 WEB not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.
