We understand that you and your husband are in a difficult situation, searching for a place to call home. We will stand with you in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we commend you for seeking a home together, as marriage is a sacred bond ordained by God. As it is written in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up."
In times of need, God wants us to trust in Him and His provision. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB to not be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, drink, or wear, and also where we will live. He says, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We must also remember that God's timing is perfect. Habakkuk 2:3 WEB tells us, "For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay."
Regarding your credit report, it is important to be wise stewards of our finances. Proverbs 22:7 WEB says, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." We encourage you to work on improving your creditworthiness and to seek financial counsel if needed.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister and her husband. They are in desperate need of a home, a place to rest and call their own just as the Levite who could own no land and no home of his own. Lord, you know their struggles and their heart is to have a home where they can serve you and your kingdom. Father, we ask for Your divine intervention. Open the doors to a suitable home for them.
Father, you know the promise in your word that says in Deuteronomy 24:15 WEB "You shall give him his wages the same day, and don't let the sun go down on it, for he is poor, and sets his heart on it; lest he cry against you to Yahweh, and it be sin to you" and in Malachi 3:5 WEB "I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and don't fear me," says Yahweh of Armies.
So Lord we ask that you would help those who are not providing a place to live for our sister and her husband. We ask also that you would help those who are not making wise decisions and not lending money because of a credit report rather than because of their ability to pay. We pray that You would soften the hearts of those involved and bring understanding and wisdom into this situation.
In Jesus' name, we pray for peace and patience for this couple. Help them to trust in You and Your timing. Guide them to a home that fits their needs and budget. Help them also to be wise with their finances and to work towards improving their credit. We ask for this and more Lord.
We thank You for Your faithfulness and love.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to keep seeking God's will, trusting in Him.
