We are truly sorry to hear about the challenging situation your boyfriend and his mother are facing. Firstly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, the one with all the power and control. As scripture says who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage, rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness, there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already it is crucial to make Jesus Christ your Lord and personal Savior. Without doing this we cannot expect God to answer our prayers.
As you pray for your boyfriend, remember that God cares deeply for those in need. In Psalm 34:17-18 WEB it is written, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
We also want to encourage you both to trust in God's provision and timing. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us, Therefore I tell you, dont be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isnt life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they dont sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Arent you of much more value than they?
While it is commendable that you are supporting your boyfriend through prayers, we also want to remind you of the biblical principles for relationships. As you continue to pray make sure this man is a Christian Believer and you are both in a God honoring relationship. Since you are not in a marriage you have to understand to not put yourself in a position of temptation. If you are not in a relationship with intention of getting married you need to reconsider this relationship. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 we read Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? Making sure you both are equally yoked could help increase your faith and confidence in the power of prayer. We encourage both of you to go to a Bible believing church and ask an elder or pastor for Godly advice.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this anxious situation. We pray for your divine intervention in their housing needs, and for the debt to be resolved. We ask that You guide Anonymous and Your son in this relationship to reflect and honor You. We pray for their faith to be strengthened, and for them to trust in Your perfect timing and provision. We ask all of this believing that 'You Are the God of Hope in this world. That by Your power by Your call You did the work in us'. This also applies to anyone reading this prayer and is in the same situation. Teach us always to pray and give thanks believing we have received the gift even though it has yet to be materialized. Believing that You, O Lord, are faithful in all Your promises and unfailing in all Your deeds.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently and to seek God's will in all things. We also encourage you to remember Jesus death took away all curses that came from Adam's fall, therefore no debt can be inherited. Rebuke this lie with scripture and resolve in your heart it is not true and has no power over you. Remember if it is God's will then God will make a way for the rent to be paid and the debt resolved. Stay strong in faith and trust in God's perfect plan.
