We are truly heartbroken to hear about the situation you are in. The Bible is not unaware of these situations and offers clear guidance. Stealing is expressly forbidden by God.
It is a sin against God and against the person from whom you are stealing.
Ephesians 4:28 WEB "Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need."
First, we must address the sin of stealing. God commands us not to steal, and this includes stealing food or any other items. Stealing is taking something that does not belong to you, and it is a direct violation of God's commandments. We understand that you may be in a difficult situation, but stealing is not the solution.
We must also address that guilt is a good thing and God given when sin is committed. It is God gently telling you that you need to repent and come back to him. We encourage you to repent of this sin and seek God's forgiveness. He is merciful and willing to forgive those who come to Him with a repentant heart.
1 John 1:9 WEB "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Next, we want to address the underlying issue of hunger and need. God cares for the poor and needy, and He wants His people to do the same. If you are in need of food or other necessities, we encourage you to seek help from local churches, Christian charities, or other organizations that can provide assistance. Stealing is not the solution to your needs.
Proverbs 30:8-9 "Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me lest I be full, deny you, and say, 'Who is Yahweh?' or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."
Finally, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!"
John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died to take away the sin of the whole world. God raised Jesus from the dead and made him Lord over all things. He will become the judge of everyone on the last day. If you believe in Jesus then you will be forgiven of your sins and made a child of God. If you do not believe in Jesus then you will be condemned by God and thrown into hell. This is very serious. If you are not a Christian then please believe in Jesus and become one.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus, asking for forgiveness and mercy for this dear soul. We pray for the strength to resist the temptation to steal and for the provision of daily needs. We also pray that you would lead this dear soul to believe in Jesus Christ and be saved. We ask this for your glory, in Jesus' name. Amen."
Please take these words to heart and turn to God for help and guidance. He is always ready to listen and to provide for His children.
