Hello, I rescued a dog from a neighbor who had her tied to his porch for four months straight. I brought her into my home and cut the mats out of her hair, bathed her and started her on the road to recovery. However, I did give him my name, address, and number and told him what I was doing. When he called me, he was very respectful and said he did want to keep the dog, but he just didn’t really know how to potty train her. He said he was going through a big transition in life and everything was a bit crazy.

I noticed blood in her urine and told him that she had to go to the vet right away. I have three animals and could not afford to take her to the vet. He picked her up today to bring her to the vet and I haven’t heard back from him since.

I’m so profoundly worried about her. I called him twice and sent a text and he has not responded. Please pray for the situation. This little sweet dog knew so much joy and love with me. She was so happy! I know God would make for me to care for her if he were to decide to give her to me. However, if he is willing and able to properly care for her, then please for the love of God pray for this man to do just that. She’s very young and she has been so mistreated.

I did not involve animal control because where I live they never show up when you call anyway. They are too overburdened. I just need to know that she is OK whether she is with me or her current owner.

Father, we ask that You would convict the heart of the dog's owner. If he is truly willing and able to care for her, please guide him and provide for his needs as well. But if he is not, we pray that You would make a way for ### or another loving individual to provide for this dog.

We also pray for ###, that You would give them peace and reassurance, knowing that You care for the creatures of this earth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I feel so supported and heard right now. I feel that the situation is being seen and uplifted. Thank you so much. Yes, I need to hear back from her owner to know what next steps can be taken. I love the idea of a fundraiser for vet bills. Right now her owner is not returning my calls or text messages. I need God to touch him to have decency in his heart, knowing how much I care for his dog, so that he will give me an update.

Update: I spoke with the owner this morning when I dropped off the food and treats I had purchased for the little dog. He told me he had not taken her to the vet yesterday as planned, but intends to do so on Monday. He has cleaned his back porch extensively. He has her in the house. Please pray that he keeps his word with the vet visit and overall treatment of this sweet little dog. I know God is real and I know prayer is powerful. Thank you all my fellow prayer warriors for storming heaven on behalf of this sweet little soul!
