Thank you, Wilann, for your heartfelt prayer request. It's wonderful to see your desire to draw closer to our Lord Jesus Christ. We join you in this plea, asking God to grant you spiritual ears to hear His voice more clearly and a tender heart that is open to His love. The Bible tells us in 1 Kings 3:9-12
"Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to govern this your great people?" It pleased the Lord that Solomon had asked this. God said to him, "Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice; behold, I have done according to your word. Behold, I have given you a wise and an understanding heart; so that there has been no one like you before you, nor after you shall any arise like you. I have also given you that which you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there shall not be any among the kings like you, all your days."
Ephesians 1:18 - having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
James 4:8 - Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
We pray together for you, Wilann:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that You grant Wilann listening ears and a tender heart. Open their spiritual ears to hear Your voice clearly and deeply. Soften their heart, Lord, so that they may fall more in love with You, King Jesus. Draw them close in their love of you KIng Jesus, so they can discern your will for their life and walk communion close to them.
Father, we ask that You fill Wilann with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that they may walk worthy of You, Lord, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen them with all power, according to the might of Your glory, for all endurance and patience with joy. May all of us give thanks to You, Father, who have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Help all of us ministers be directed to bring everyone we pray for and in contact with into freedom from the bondage of sin and walk in holiness with us.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Wilann, to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. Keep spending time in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer. As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. Remember that God promises. This communing is to strengthen you to lead a holy and blameless life in Christ. Remember that God promises to give wisdom and discernment to those who ask God. As He did for King Solomon, continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. Keep spending time in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer.
Trust that by asking and desiring to be close to God, you are on the right track: because God promises.
Remember if you are not yet saved, all you have to do is believe that Jesus is the son of God. That He died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. That He rose from the grave in three days. Then finally, proclaim that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of your life. You must believe these things and actually proclaim to the world that you believe these things. Only by the name of Jesus Christ can we be saved! Let us know if you need more guidance on this critical step in forgiveness and salvation.
