'Like a Child' - Matthew 12:22-23

Then a demon-possessed man, who was blind and couldn't speak, was brought to Jesus. He healed the man so that he could both speak and see. The crowd was amazed and asked, "Could it be that Jesus is the Son of David, the Messiah?"

Key Thought​

Isn't it amazing how the common everyday folks were so much better at recognizing Jesus than all the religious leaders? What's going on here? Of course we know: It's old human pride and selfishness rearing their ugly heads in the religious leaders. Those who considered themselves smart, good, and religious couldn't appreciate Jesus and totally missed his coming. But those who were simple, who yearned for God, could find Jesus in almost any situation. That's what faith is all about — giving up our pretensions and coming to meet Jesus honestly to see that his work is still true today!

Today's Prayer​

Holy God, please remove my blinders and arrogance and help me see Jesus as he truly is, my Savior and your Son! In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
