We are thrilled to hear about the mission trip to Cambodia and the hearts eager to share the light of Christ. Let us pray together and offer some guidance and encouragement from the Word of God.
Firstly, it is wonderful that the church is sending a crew to Cambodia to be lights and salt to the world. This is exactly what Jesus commanded all believers to do as recorded by Matthew 5.
You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men. You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Jesus clearly intended for the believers to go and make disciples of all nations teaching them to observe all things that Jesus commanded.
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
It is important that everyone prays for the eyes and ears of the Cambodian people to be opened to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Without the name of Jesus, there is no access to God, no remission of sin, and no eternal life. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
In him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
It is also important that everyone prays for the fire of The Holy Spirit and His wisdom. His wisdom will know how to work with Him. His wisdom can also direct the crew to know what to do.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
There is a real enemy who will attempt to thwart the work of The Holy Spirit and the believers. One of his schemes may be to attempt to inflict illness upon several members of the witnessing crew. Pray that every plot and plan of the devil be canceled and of no effect.
The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
Submit yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that you may resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Pray for grace and favor and energy for the witnessing crew to be able to accomplish all that they have gone to do for The Lord.
Let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Finally, let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brothers and sisters in Christ who are traveling to Cambodia to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. We pray that You would open the hearts and minds of the Cambodian people to receive the truth of the gospel. We ask for Your Holy Spirit to fill the witnessing crew with wisdom, power, and guidance. We ask that you protect the witnessing crew from any and every attack of the enemy, that no weapon formed against them would prosper. We pray for grace, favor, and energy upon the witnessing crew as they share Your love.We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We look forward to hearing updates and praise reports from the trip. May God bless and keep the witnessing crew as they serve Him in Cambodia.
