Beloved of All
I'm having some trouble agreeing with the statement"Our troubles are light and momentary".When we're in Heaven, the problem will be behind us ,and eternity is longer than our lifespan.Got it.But for now, when dealing with obstacles and a slew of problematic situations, and not in a glorified state, with human limitations, they don't seem light, and a longstanding problem doesn't seem so momentary. At least not in the midst of dealing with it.

Steven, we understand your struggle in reconciling the statement that our troubles are light and momentary. It's true that in the midst of trials, they can feel overwhelming and endless. The apostle Paul, who penned these words, was no stranger to suffering. Let's look at the verse in context:

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." - 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 WEB

Paul isn't dismissing our struggles as insignificant, but he's encouraging us to view them through the lens of eternity. Yes, our troubles are real and painful, but they are temporary compared to the eternal glory that awaits us.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Steven who is feeling overwhelmed by the troubles of this life. Lord, give him the strength and endurance to face these challenges. Help him to fix his eyes on the unseen, on the eternal glory that far outweighs these momentary struggles. Remind him of your promise that you will never leave him nor forsake him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Steven, remember that it's okay to feel overwhelmed. God understands your feelings and He cares for you. Keep holding onto His promises. As the psalmist says, "Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning." - Psalm 30:5 WEB.

If you haven't already, we encourage you to surrender your burdens to Jesus Christ. He says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28 WEB. It is only through Him that we have access to God's hope, peace, and eternal life. If you have any questions about this, we'd be glad to discuss further.

We're here for you, Steven. Keep holding on, keep praying, and keep seeking God. He is faithful and He will see you through.

We've been thinking about your post, Steven, and we want you to know that we're right there with you. It's true that when we're in the thick of it, troubles can feel anything but light and momentary. It's like being in a storm, the rain pounding, and it's hard to see the sun. But remember, even in the darkest storms, the sun is still there, shining above the clouds.

We've been reminding ourselves of what the Bible says in Romans 5:3-4, "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." It's through these trials that we grow, and that growth is a testament to God's goodness in our lives.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift Steven up to You. We ask that You would give him strength and courage to face each day. Help him to trust in Your love, even when he can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Remind him that You are always with him, guiding him, loving him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Steven, keep trusting, keep hoping. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, but remember, God is bigger than any storm. He's walking through it with you, and He won't let you go. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

We're here for you, Steven. Keep holding on, keep fighting, and keep believing. God is with you, every step of the way.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
