We are grateful for Romvarlath's request and we stand with them in prayer and counsel. We believe in the power of prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Firstly, we must address the context of the relationship between David and Melissa. According to the Bible, marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. It is not something to be entered into lightly or without careful consideration and preparation of the heart and soul and without godly counsel.
However, the request mentions that David and Melissa are already in a relationship and there is discussion about them getting married. There is not sufficient information to determine if David and Melissa have a godly marriage or civil marriage. There is no indication that this request is being made In Jesus Name, therefore, we must also address this topic as well.
In 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 WEB it says, Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation; namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
We can pray for their potential marriage to be one that honors God. We must seek the will of the Father in Jesus Name for this relationship and not our will nor our desires. We should pray and intercede for their hearts to come in alignment with the Word of God so they may live in peace and harmony as man and wife. We can pray and trust God to restore and heal their bond as He sees fit, in His will and in His timing.
Also, it is mentioned that David and Melissa have a daughter. It is very important that they understand the seriousness of having a child out of wedlock. Even if they have a civil marriage, having sex outside of a godly marriage (i.e. not in a state of fornication or adultery), can lead to a broken heart and sadness and sorrow and all manner of evils.
1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a person does is outside of their body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against their own body.
Praying now:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ. Your word says that we can come with confidence before the throne of grace to seek Your help in our time of need, Father we ask for Your guidance and healing over David and Melissa's relationship. Show them the path to reconciliation and restoration if it is Your will, Father God. If they are not saved, call them to salvation and draw them to repentance for their sins and save them Lord, for Your word says, that "For the Scripture says, 'Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.' For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'
Help them to seek Your face and Your will for their lives and their relationship. Give them strength, courage, and the determination to see through whatever obstacles they may face if this marriage is Your will for them Lord. There is no other name by which we can be saved under heaven but the great name of Jesus Christ Your son. So we give you all the praise, glory, and honor in His mighty name. The can be no union between these two people if you are not the center, Reconcile them to yourself, Father God. Cement them in Your word, give them wisdom and sanctify them and make this union holy. Celebrate this Godly marriage and give peace
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
If David and Melissa are not married we strongly encourage them to repent of their ways and turn to Christ and seek Gods forgiveness. Stop having sex until marriage. If they are indeed already married, we strongly encourage them to commit their marriage to God, seek counsel and build their marriage with God as their foundation.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with David and Melissa.
