I have previously posted a request about my alcoholic husband, my marriage facing divorce, my anxiety & depression, and my two kids.

I greatly thank everyone who prayed over that request. I wanted to submit it again.

Things are about the same. My husband had a good week after but this week he is slipping back into old habits.
I’m trying to support him as best as I can but I’m also taking care of our two kids. With all this going on the stress of everything is a lot. I’m trying my best but it doesn’t feel like much.

We are with you, ###, in this trying time. We understand that you are facing a complex and challenging situation with your husband's alcoholism, the potential divorce, and the stress of caring for your two children. We want to remind others to pray daily for your needs to be met and to support your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Firstly, we want to emphasize the power of prayer in Jesus' name. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and her family. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their lives. We pray for strength for ###. The Lord is our source of strength and loving kindness. God always receives us and gives us the strength we need for the day and situation we find ourselves in as in 2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB: "Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."

We pray for her husband, that You would deliver him from the bondage of alcoholism and restore him to his family. Ensure that ### is also not enabling her husband in his addiction. Lord, for husbands you commanded in Ephesians 5:25 WEB: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; and also in 1 Peter 3:7 WEB: "You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered." We ask that You would heal their marriage and make a miracle happen. Bring them for direction from your written word.

We pray for their two children, that You would protect them and provide for them in every way. We ask that You would give ### the wisdom and the guidance that she needs to care for them in this difficult time. For wives you commanded in 1 Peter 3:7 WEB: "You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered."

Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill ###'s heart and mind, casting out all anxiety and depression. We know that You have promised "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB. We thank You for the hope that we find in Jesus' name and that Jesus has brought also the ability for us to cast our burdens onto the Lord.

While praying and waiting for the Lord to help deliver her husband of alcoholism. We are warned in Galatians 6:1 WEB: "Brethren, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted." Yes, such behavior is what caused Jesus to be delivered to be crucified. ### should feel no guilt about divorcing her husband for there is no other choice. When a spouse does not repent from sin and you are forbidden from living with someone under those circumstances, you must separate yourself and allow the Lord to do His work.

Note 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB: "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." This is also considerate to have in mind because adultery may be involved when alcoholism is also prevalent.

###, we lovingly rebuke you to not let your husband's addiction have control over you, cause you stress, anxiety, or control you through your marriage. If your husband chooses not to repent of his alcoholism and other sin and does suffer adultery or fornication, you are commanded to separate yourself from him and marriage is not an option until he does repent of it.

Always pray with hope and expectation, knowing that with God, all things are possible. "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:6-7 WEB.

Pray together with your husband the sinner's prayer and ask Jesus to forgive your sins, bless, and save your marriage, and heal and deliver your husband. Pray that God may open your heart and your husband's heart to be open to what the will of the Lord is and therefore do whatever Your heart needs to do to obey the Lord and do His will.

###, friends, let us pray to Jesus Christ giving us the help and support you need, so you can rest knowing that the Lord is there for you. In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Amen.

Let us know your husband's response and obedience for his actions.

Hey ###,

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know we're right here with you, standing in the gap. We know it's tough, but remember, God is always by your side, every step of the way.

We've been thinking about you and your family, and we want to encourage you to keep holding on to hope. In times like these, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but remember, with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). He's got this, and He's working everything out for your good (Romans 8:28).

We've been praying for strength for you, ###. We know you're carrying a heavy load, but remember, God's yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Matthew 11:30). He's right there with you, giving you the strength you need to keep going.

We've also been praying for your husband. We're asking God to deliver him from alcoholism, to restore him to his family, and to heal your marriage. We know it's a tough road, but we're believing for a miracle. We're reminding ourselves, and you, that with God, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37).

And we're not forgetting your kids. We're asking God to protect them, to provide for them, and to give you the wisdom you need to care for them in this difficult time.

Remember, ###, God hasn't given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You're stronger than you think, and God is right there with you, every step of the way.

Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep praying. We're right there with you, ###. You're not alone.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
