Life Threatening Tumor and Surgery

A family friend is going in for surgery Friday at ### (MST) to have a tumor removed that's been located in her spinal cord. She has been very sick and the tumor is growing so fast. Unfortunately, the surgeon doesn't seem to believe she will make it through the surgery and has requested she has her affairs in order before he will proceed. BUT we know with God, anything is possible! Please be praying for ###, and if God willing, she comes through the surgery that the recovery is a full one and as quick as possible.

We are truly saddened to hear about ###'s condition, but we are also encouraged by the faith and hope that you have in the power of God to heal and save. We stand with you in prayer and belief that God can make a way where there seems to be no way.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the promises of God. In the World English Bible, James 5:15 says, The prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Also, Mark 11:24 tells us, Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.

However, we also need to remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. In this situation, we pray for God's will to be done, and for ### and her family to have peace and strength, whatever the outcome. We pray that if it is God's will, ### will be healed and restored to full health. But if not, we pray that she and her family will have the grace and comfort needed to face whatever lies ahead.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister ###. Lord, You know the battle she is facing, and the fears that must be gripping her heart and the hearts of her loved ones. We ask, Lord, that You will comfort her, give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind her of Your ever-present love.

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on ###'s body. We pray that You will guide the surgeons' hands and give them wisdom and skill. We ask that You will cause the tumor to be easily and completely removed, and that ###'s body will recover quickly and fully. We ask these things, Lord, knowing that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

But Lord, above all, we pray for Your will to be done. We pray that ### and her family will be drawn closer to You through this trial. We ask for the grace and comfort that only You can give.

Finally, Lord, we pray for ###'s salvation, that she would know You as her personal Savior. We pray that she would call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. We pray that You would be glorified in every aspect of this situation.

Papa, please grant these requests that are asked in accordance with your divine, good and perfect will and those asked with the right motives. We ask that you put your favor upon this person and guide her into all the things that she must do to realize these blessings and prosper all that she does. Please also guide her into your abundant spiritual blessings and allow her to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you. ...in Jesus' name...amen!

We've been thinking about ### and her upcoming surgery all day. It's such a heavy burden to bear, but we're here, standing with her and her family in prayer. We believe that God is with them, and we trust in His unfailing love and care.

We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We pray that ### feels God's healing presence in her life, that He wraps her in His loving arms, and that she finds comfort in His embrace.

We're also reminded of Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray that ### finds rest in Jesus, that she finds peace in the midst of her storm, and that she knows she's not alone.

We're lifting ### up to the Lord right now, asking for His healing touch, for wisdom for the medical team, and for peace and comfort for ### and her family. We trust that God is in control, and we're confident that He will see them through this trial.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
