We are truly sorry to hear about your situation and want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. We are here to pray and support you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Firstly, let's address the spiritual aspects you've mentioned. You've been praying to receive the Holy Spirit, but feel it hasn't happened. The Holy Spirit is given to those who believe in Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father and the Holy Spirit. As Jesus said, Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it. (John 16:23-24 WEB).
Romans 10:9-10 WEB) says, "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." When you believed in Jesus Christ, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13 WEB).
The Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, but it's also important to be filled with the Spirit continually, as instructed in Ephesians 5:18 WEB, "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is rebellion; but be filled with the Spirit." Being filled with the Spirit is a ongoing process, not a one-time event.
Regarding your current situation, we want to encourage you with God's promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Even in the midst of trials, God is working for your good.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of your divine intervention. We pray for your comfort and peace to fill their heart as they face unemployment and the possibility of losing their home.
Lord, we claim your promise in Romans 8:28 and trust that you are working all things together for their good. We ask that you guide them as they seek for a job at work, and in the right situation. Please provide for their needs according to your riches in glory.
We also pray for their battle with depression. Father, heal their mind and emotions, and help them to cast all their anxieties on you, because you care for them. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB) Remind them of your unfailing love and faithfulness, and help them to trust in your bigger plan.
Holy Spirit, fill them anew and help them to sense your presence in a tangible way. Guide them into all truth and remind them of who they are in Christ.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirits of despair, hopelessness, and fear that may be attacking them. We pray for God's Word, especially the basic salvation message, to be a lamp unto their feet, and a light unto their path.
We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness to answer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, remember that God loves you and has a purpose for your life. Hold onto his promises and do not lose hope. Keep trusting in him, and he will see you through this storm. If you are not a member of a Bible Believing Church, then we encourage you to look for a good one. They are God's family. As we each love Jesus Christ as Lord, we are adopted into his family and should love each other as brothers and sisters. We will be here to pray for you and support you. Keep reaching out and keep trusting in Jesus Christ.
