Let us begin by remembering that our hope and faith should be rooted in Jesus Christ alone. He is the source of our peace and joy, and it is through Him that we can overcome the anxieties and sadness that may plague us. Let us remind ourselves of the words of the Holy Spirit written by the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Beloved, it is encouraging to hear that you have started the year with a mix of hope, optimism, and a deep sense of sadness and anxiety. It shows that you are honest about your feelings and that you are seeking God's help. Remember, it is normal to feel left out or discouraged, but let us not allow these feelings to overshadow the hope and faith we have in Jesus Christ.
As for feeling like you are losing your sense of hope and faith, let us remind you of the promise in Romans 5:3-5 WEB: "Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope: and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
Beloved, it is encouraging to know you have worked hard and done your best. God sees your efforts and He is faithful to reward those who diligently seek Him. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:58 WEB: "Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord's work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."
Regarding your feelings of sabotage and being on edge, let us remind you of the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB: "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Trust that God is in control and that He is working all things together for your good, as it says in Romans 8:28 WEB.
Now, let us address your desire for a romantic partner. We must remember that God's design for marriage is between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. It is a lifelong commitment and a sacred covenant. We should pray for godly spouses and marriages that honor God. It is also important that we seek the Lord's will in all matters of life as it says in Philippians 4:8 WEB: "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our beloved friend who is feeling a mix of hope, optimism, sadness, and anxiety. We pray that You will fill them with Your peace and comfort, helping them to cast all their anxieties on You. Help them to trust in You and to know that their labor is not in vain.
We pray that You will guide them about a spouse, if it is Your will, and help them to seek Your will in all matters of life. We pray that You will bring the right godly person into their life, according to Your perfect timing.
We also pray that You will help them to overcome their feelings of sabotage and being on edge, and to trust that You are in control. Help them to be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in Your work.
Finally, we pray that You will strengthen their hope and faith in You, and help them to know that their suffering is not in vain, but that it is working perseverance, character, and hope in them.
We pray all these things and thank you for your blessings in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us always remember "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
