Life After Divorce

Dear Heavenly Father,

I love you, praise you and glorify your name.  Lord I am most grateful that I can come to you in sickness and in health. With good times and bad and that I can count all times as blessings from you. 

My divorce after 40 years of marriage will be final soon. Not my idea.  Not my choice.  He left me for a much younger woman after he abandoned me in Florida under the pretense of retiring.  God I know you brought me to Florida not him. 

Now that I have accepted the divorce, I pray for the plans you have for me. The plans not to harm me and to give me hope and a future. 

I love you Lord.  These last two years have been rough even though I knew you were with me.  

I have faith and You will see me work at it.  I have faith that you have great blessings for me.  I am no longer bitter and truly wish him the best. 

Please Lord help me get my family back. Since he returned to MI I have lost my children and grandchildren. Bring us back together.  Do not allow this divorce to further divide a family.  I want my family back! Help me Jesus help me 

I thank You and know You are my salvation and in You I trust.  Thank you.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
