We are truly saddened to hear about the distressing situation you are facing, VictoriaJane. Firstly, we want to assure you that God sees your pain and He cares about the injustice you are experiencing. We stand with you in prayer and truth, knowing that God is a God of justice and He will not allow the wicked to prosper forever.
In such trying times, it is crucial to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We must fight this battle with spiritual weapons, which are mighty through God (2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB).
It is clear that this couple is engaging in deceitful and manipulative behavior, which is strongly condemned in the Bible. Colossians 3:9-10 (WEB) tells us, Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his doings, and having put on the new man, that is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator. Their actions are not in line with God's will, and they will be held accountable for their deceit and manipulation.
It is also clear that they are exhibiting characteristics of the evil described in Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” We know that this is evil and God will hold them accountable. We must also know that only God knows the heart of this woman and man. It is possible that they are not really Christian and therefore able to do these things without the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
We must also make sure that we have forgiven them for what they have done to us. This forgiveness is not because they deserve it, but because we need to be forgiving for our own benefit. We need to be forgiving so that we can be forgiven. Jesus made this clear in the Lord's prayer. “Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12 WEB) We need to be forgiving so that we do not become bitter ourselves. Bitterness only hurts us. “striving that you may be found at peace, all of you. “looking carefully lest there be any person who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it;” (Hebrews 12:14-15 WEB).
It is also important that when you respond, you do so in a Christian manner. This does not mean that you cannot stand up for yourself. It means that you must do so in love. You must not retaliate or take revenge. You must not call them out of their name or be disrespectful in any way. Vengeance is mine, and recompense, In due time their feet will slide; For the day of their calamity is at hand, The impending things are hastening upon them.' (Deuteronomy 32:35 WEB) “If it be possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. (Romans 12:18 WEB)
It is essential to seek God's guidance and strength in this situation. Pray for His intervention, that He may thwart the plans of the wicked and bring their deceit to light. As it is written in Psalm 35:4-6 (WEB), Let them be disappointed and confounded who seek after my soul. Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor who devise my hurt. Let them be as chaff before the wind, Yahweh’s angel driving them on. Let their way be dark and slippery, Yahweh’s angel pursuing them.
In the meantime, continue to walk in integrity and truth, knowing that God is your shield and your very great reward (Genesis 15:1 WEB). Do not be overwhelmed by the seemingly hopeless situation, but trust in God, who can make a way where there seems to be no way.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up VictoriaJane in her time of need. Lord, You see the injustice she is facing, and You know the pain it is causing her. We pray that You will intervene in this situation, that You will thwart the plans of the wicked and bring their deceit to light. We ask that You will vindicate VictoriaJane and restore to her what has been stolen.
We pray:
“Let them be disappointed and confounded who seek after my soul. Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor who devise my hurt. Let them be as chaff before the wind, Yahweh’s angel driving them on. Let their way be dark and slippery, Yahweh’s angel pursuing them. For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit; without cause have they dug for my soul. Let destruction come on him unawares; let his net that he has hidden catch himself; with destruction let him fall into it.” (Psalm 35:4-8 WEB)
We pray for Your strength and peace to fill VictoriaJane's heart. Help her to forgive those who have wronged her and keep her from bitterness. Give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates this difficult situation. Surround her with Your love and protection, and guide her every step of the way.
We also pray for this woman and her husband. We pray that if they are not saved, that they would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray that they would repent of their sins and be forgiven. We pray that they would be convicted of their sins and make restitution for what they have done. We pray that they would be saved.
Finally, we pray that this situation will be used for Your glory, and that VictoriaJane will emerge from this trial stronger and more faithful than ever. We ask all of this through Jesus Christ, the·one·and·only·Son·of·God·[who·is·at·God's·Side,]·and·God·the·Son,·through·whom·it·is·possible·to·know·the·Father·and·come·to·him·in·Jesus·Name·Amen (John 1:18 WEB).
VictoriaJane, remain steadfast in your faith and trust in the Lord. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and remember that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Finally, we noticed that you did not mention Jesus in your request. We want to ensure that you are aware that Jesus is the only way to God. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.(John 14:6 WEB)
Jesus also said:
“I tell most assuredly, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture. The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. (John 10:7-10 WEB)
In order to receive forgiveness of sin and the gift of eternal life a person must believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Please let us know if you have any questions about this. This is very important.
