We understand your concern for your son Mathew and we stand with you in prayer for his liberation from this inappropriate emotional bond. We commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your request, as it is only through His name that we can approach God the Father and seek His will.
Firstly, it is important to address the nature of this emotional bond. If it is a bond that is outside the bounds of a godly relationship, such as an emotional attachment to someone other than a spouse or future spouse, or if it involves inappropriate desires, it is important to repent and seek God's forgiveness. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Mathew to You. Lord, we know that You desire for us to be emotionally and spiritually bonded to You above all else, and that any bond that hinders that relationship is not Your will for us. We confess any sinful emotional bond in Mathew's life to You and ask for Your forgiveness and mercy.
We pray for Mathew's deliverance from this inappropriate emotional bond that is causing him anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. We speak life and peace over Mathew, and we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, depression, or suicide in the name of Jesus. As it is written in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Father, we ask that You fill Mathew with Your love and peace, and that You guide him to a godly spouse if it is Your will for him. We pray that he will seek You first in all things, and that he will be strengthened and encouraged by Your Spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Othiedormere, continue to stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. Remember the promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working even in this situation for Mathew's good and His glory.
Keep praying and seeking God's will for Mathew, and encourage him to do the same. Surround him with godly counsel and support, and trust that God will bring him through this trial. If Mathew is not born again or baptized, encourage him to make that first step into a real relationship with God.
