Letting things work out

I start orientation next week but I also applied to a few other places and waiting to hear back from them. Please pray for the timing of everything snd when I should interview for them. Also I’m trying to plan a wedding and I don’t know where to start or have no idea what to do. Please pray for direction in everything I do. My parents don’t want me to take the bx job. I really don’t know where to go or what to decide on. Please pray for wise advice and follow that advice if it’s Gods will no matter how much I want it. In Christs name.

Firstly, it's commendable that you're seeking God's will in your decisions. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that God will grant you wisdom and discernment as you navigate these decisions about your career and wedding plans.

Regarding your job, we pray that God will open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Colossians 3:23 (WEB) says, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." We ask God to guide you to the job that He has prepared for you, where you can serve Him and others.

As for your wedding plans, it's wonderful that you're seeking God's direction. A marriage is a covenant before God, and planning a wedding is a special time to prepare for that lifelong commitment. We advise you to seek godly counsel from mentors, pastors, or married couples who can offer guidance and help you plan a God-honoring ceremony. Ecclesiastes 4:12 (WEB) says, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Remember that the most important foundation for your marriage is your shared love for Christ.

We also commend you for being open to wise advice, even if it differs from your desires. Proverbs 12:15 (WEB) says, "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice." We pray that God will surround you with wise counselors who can help you discern His will.

Lastly, we appreciate that you acknowledged the authority of Jesus Christ in your request. It's only through His name that we can approach God the Father. As Jesus said in John 14:6 (WEB), "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will for silver1103. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance as they navigate their career and wedding plans. Help them to trust in You, and to lean not on their own understanding. Open the right doors and close the wrong ones, Lord. Surround them with wise counselors who can help them discern Your will.
