Letting go take control

Now that God is in control of my life I feel positive but I still have issues. How can I get saved. I turned my life over to God but I don't feel God changing me is it that I have to change on my own. Pastor Mike your preaching has been helping me the part when you say let go of control and turning my life over to God .what else changes do I need to be close to God.

If you have asked the Lord to forgive you of all of your sins { the bible tells us that ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God } If you repent , and that means to turn away from sin and you believe that Jesu died on the cross for all of our sins and that He rose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God in heaven , then you are now a Christian . You need to be reading the bible because that will be the best teacher to show you how to live a life pleasing to God , we cannot do anything on our own , we need the Lord's help in living in this fallen world . The bible tells us that we grow in grace and that He takes us from glory to glory , you need to know that we don't " change our ways overnight " somethings take time , we just need to be in prayer asking the Lord what it is that He wants us to do . The bible tells us that it is by grace that we are saved through faith and not of ourselves . Apart from the Lord we can do NOTHING . You need to start going to a full bible believing church that preaches the truth of God . You need to know that being saved is not a feeling but it is believing what Jesus did on the cross for all man kind , He is a loving God and it is not His will for any of His children to go to hell . You should read in your bible Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11 . You are here for a reason and your life has a purpose .
