We understand your desire to let go of past trauma and the difficult emotions that accompany it. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's help and healing in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we commend you for asking in Jesus' name, as it is through Him that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in Hebrews 4:16 WEB, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
To address your request, we turn to the scriptures for guidance. Philippians 3:13-14 WEB tells us, "Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Like the Apostle Paul, we should strive to forget the things which are behind and press forward.
However, forgetting does not mean ignoring or suppressing the past. Rather, it means dealing with it in a godly manner and then moving forward in faith. Matthew 11:28-30 WEB encourages us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Jesus invites us to come to Him with our burdens, including past trauma and associated feelings.
Moreover, 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB reminds us, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." This means that we do not have to be held captive by fear, doubt, and worry. Instead, we can walk in power, love, and self-control through the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, seeking healing and restoration for Divine Seeker. Lord, help them to let go of all past trauma, anger, hatred, resentment, rage, deep sadness, grief, fear, doubt, and worry. Help them to deal with these emotions in a godly manner and to move forward in faith. Help them to blossom more and more as the beautiful, loving, caring, and kind person You created them to be. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them power, love, and self-control. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you journey towards healing, we encourage you to meditate on God's word, pray continually, and seek godly counsel. Remember, you are not alone in this journey. God is with you, and we stand with you in prayer.
