We understand your frustration, but remember, beloved, that our labor is not in vain in the Lord. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:58 WEB, "Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord's work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."
Firstly, let us give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for the spirit of excellence He has given you in your workplace. It is clear that you have a genuine desire to excel in your role as a teacher and to be recognized for your hard work. Remember that God sees your every effort, even when others may not. As it is written in Colossians 3:23 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
Now, let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow servant who has diligently served as a teacher. Lord, You know the efforts and hard work that have been put into their work. You see the lives that have been touched and the differences made.
Father, we ask that You will bring to remembrance of the boss the positive impact and qualities that have been displayed at the workplace. Grant the boss a spirit of discernment and fairness as the letter of recommendation is revised. Help them to see the true worth and value that has been added to the workplace through the hard work and dedication of Your servant.
Lord, we also ask that You will grant peace and patience. Help us to trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good to those who love You, to those who are called according to Your purpose.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, while you wait, continue to trust in God's plan for your life. Remember that our ultimate reward comes from above, and our work should first and foremost be a service unto the Lord. As it is written in Ephesians 6:7 WEB, "rendering service with a good will, as to the Lord, and not to men."
Lastly, we leave you with this encouraging word from Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up." Keep doing good, beloved, and trust that God will bring the harvest in His time.
