We come together to lift up ###'s extensive and heartfelt prayer requests, seeking God's will and intervention in each matter.
Firstly, we pray for the persecuted Christians around the world. As it is written in the Word, "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." (2 Timothy 3:12 WEB) Lord, we ask for Your protection and comfort for the ### million Christians facing persecution. Strengthen their faith and provide for their needs, especially for those in areas where persecution is at genocidal levels.
We also pray for the peace and salvation of Israel, knowing that Your promises to them are everlasting. Lord, bless Israel and Jerusalem, and bring many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We stand on Your Word that says, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May they prosper who love you." (Psalm 122:6 WEB)
For the salvation of many around the world, we ask, Father, that You draw them to Jesus. We pray based on 1 Timothy 2:4, "who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth." Lord, use us as vessels to spread the Gospel and bring many to the knowledge of Your saving grace.
We lift up the children around the world who are suffering physical, sexual, and psychological abuse. Lord, be their shield and protector. Comfort and heal them, and bring justice to their oppressors. As it is written, "Father of the fatherless, and judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation." (Psalm 68:5 WEB)
For those on the brink of starvation and suffering from poverty, sickness, disease, natural disasters, and war, we cry out to You, Lord. Provide for their needs and bring relief to their suffering. We stand on Your Word that says, "For the poor will never cease out of the land. Therefore I command you to surely open your hand to your brother, to your needy, and to your poor, in your land." (Deuteronomy 15:11 WEB)
We pray for an awakening in the church universal, that we may be aware of the lateness of the hour and prepare for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We ask for sound biblical teaching in churches and protection from falling away. As it is written, "Now the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons." (1 Timothy 4:1 WEB)
For protection, salvation, deliverance, healing, and unity in families, we ask, Lord. Restore broken relationships and bring reconciliation. We stand on Your Word that says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3 WEB)
We pray for strength, encouragement, and endurance for all Christians around the world. May we be filled with the Holy Spirit, shun sin, and walk in love. As it is written, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB)
We lift up the individuals mentioned by name, asking for Your blessings, protection, comfort, encouragement, healing, deliverance, salvation, and guidance in their lives. We stand on Your Word that says, "For I know the plans that I have in mind for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)
We also pray for the various needs mentioned, including financial needs, job seekers, those facing spiritual warfare, and those in need of wisdom and discernment. Lord, provide for their needs and guide them according to Your will.
Finally, we pray for the prayer group and church, that we may be blessed, protected, and guided in our prayer times and fellowship. May we be strong intercessors, convicted by Your Spirit, and empowered to move mightily in prayer. As it is written, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB)
