When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things? Now that I am older I want to go back to my childhood! I want to see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: I want to know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. Now I want to abide in faith, hope, and charity! But because I thought I had to but away childish things; I did. And that which was in parted to me; which was play time; that told me must be done away? For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. Charity never fails: BUT whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE NOT! A prophecy is a message that has been communicated to a person. I was told to stop my childish ways? I BELIEVE what they said was true?
Whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. My God told me to bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, endure all things. Rejoice in the truth! Now I BELIEVE! Now I’m back to my childish ways! A child does not behave itself unseemly, seek not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; Charity sufferers long, and is kind; charity envies not; charity vaunted not itself, is not puffed up, And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, if I have not helped those in need it profited me nothing.
Those adults who told me I was to childish; who thought they had the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and had all the knowledge; and though they had all faith, so that they could remove mountains, they did not help me when I was in need, THEY WERE NOTHING! Though they spoke with the tongues of men and of angels, still they had not charity! They have become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal! -.- Sounding brass refers to words that are empty and confusing! Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
We must help each other follow after charity, to desire spiritual gifts, like childish imaginations that we may prophesy, joy, laughter, happiness and play! Those that speak in an unknown tongue speak not unto men, but unto God: that’s why no man understand him; because in the spirit he speaks mysteries. (This spirit is small s) So when I was told to stop being so childish I didn’t understand why? But he that prophesies speaks unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort! He that speaks in an unknown tongue edify himself!
But he that prophesies edifies the church. I would that you all spake with tongues but rather that you prophesied: for greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying! Those who think they know best; are the ones who need to shut up! -.- Brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds. If the trumpet (A loud mouth) give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
So likewise you, except you UTTER by the tongue WORDS EASY TO BE UNDERSTOOD, how shall it be known what is spoken? (In other words go inside the closet of your mind) If we shall speak into the air. There are, it may be, SO MANY KINDS OF VOICES in the world, (inside the mind) and none of them is without signification. Therefore if I KNOW NOT the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaks a barbarian/violent, and he that speak shall be a barbarian unto me. Even so you, forasmuch as you are zealous of spiritual gifts, (Imaginations) seek that you may excel to the edifying of the church. Wherefore let him that speak in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. If I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, (Small spirit s) but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: (I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with my imagination as will) I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with my imagination also.
Else when you shall bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupies the room of the unlearned say Amen at your giving of thanks, seeing HE UNDERSTAND NOT what you say? You verily give thanks well, BUT the other is not edified. I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than you all: Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding/imagination, that BY MY VOICE I MIGHT teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be you children, BUT in understanding/IMAGINATION be men. In the law it is written, With men OF “OTHER TONGUES” AND “OTHER LIPS” WILL I SPEAK unto this people; (GOD SPEAKS WITHIN OUR MINDS! The Mind of Christ! And yet for all that WILL THEY NOT “HEAR” ME, saith the Lord. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, NOT TO THEM THAT BELIEVE, BUT TO THEM THAT BELIEVE NOT: BUT PROPHESYING serve not for them that BELIEVE NOT, BUT FOR THEM WHICH BELIEVE.
IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE PROPHESYING is a divinely appointed speech that addresses people in the interest of edifying the church! When the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that you are mad? BUT if all PROPHESY, and there come in one that BELIEVES NOT, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, HE IS JUDGED OF ALL:
And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. How is it then, brethren? when you come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. BUT don’t let all things be done unto edifying. If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed (in imagination) to another that sits by, let the first hold his peace. You may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. Let your women keep silent IN THE CHURCHES:
The word WOMEN is: womb man" (man meaning “human” or “person. The CHURCHES are THE CALLED OUT ONES. Who are the ones dedicated to the Lord.
It is not permitted unto A PERSON to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: HUSBAND means MASTER OF A HOUSE. Our MASTER IS THE MIND OF CHRIST! It is a shame for A PERSON to speak in the church. What? came the word of God OUT FROM YOU? Came it unto you only!?! MEN. IF ANT MAN THINK HIMSELF TO BE a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. AND if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order.
